BASIC + ICU is designed for medical and nursing staff who have little experience in intensive care but may need to assist in managing critically ill patients. This includes general practitioners, rural doctors, surgeons, anaesthetists, and nurses. The course was developed from the BASIC course run through the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and is delivered internationally. It comprises lectures, procedural skills, and immersive scenarios.

Who should participate

Medical and nursing staff who may need to assist in managing critically ill patients.


Neat casual clothing and enclosed footwear.
