PHTLS is a two-day multidisciplinary course designed to increase knowledge and skills in handling trauma patients and delivering critical care in frontline pre-hospital trauma care. The course runs from 7.00 to 17.30 on Saturday and 7.15 to 16.45 on Sunday.

Registration for this course includes automatic access to the Pre Hostpial Trauma Life Support Quiz 8th Edition eLearning component. Access will be granted after payment has been received.

Who should participate

Doctors, nurses, ambulance officers, medical students, and military, fire and police (where relevant to trauma management).


Registration for this course closes 4 weeks prior to the course date. The online pre test must be completed 4 weeks prior to the course date. Late registration and/or failure to complete the pre test can result in exclusion from the course.


Neat casual clothing and enclosed footwear.


Menu choices will comply with QLD Health Healthy Choices Strategy. Special dietary requirements will be catered for with prior notice.
