APICS is a three-day paediatric intensive care course with an emphasis on the essential theory for managing seriously ill children. The course includes a challenging simulation component, which is based on the College of Intensive care Medicine of Australia and New Zealand (CICM) curriculum. Each course has places for 20 doctors and 16 nurses.

Who should participate

Medical trainees and critical care nurses in ICU, paediatrics, and emergency medicine.


Participants must complete the Recognition and Management of the Deteriorating Paediatric Patient - Core Skills eLearning course prior to attending.


Neat casual clothing and enclosed footwear.
