Queensland Clinical Skills Development Service believes that technology plays a major role in the training process. The e-learning training platform is very user-friendly and suits both the clinician who has had no previous exposure to computers, as well as the more computer advanced professional. E-learning at CSDS is specifically tailored to health professionals enrolled in clinical simulation programmes at this centre. Expert clinicians from rural and metropolitan hospitals have designed both interventional and programmatic e-learning modules to blend with CSDS instructor-lead simulation. Other CSDS e-learning has been developed specifically for identified areas of need. This means that online modules are also available for participants interested in specific topics to learn at their own pace, place and convenience.
