This course is designed to transition physiotherapists into the intensive care environmentand expands knowledge of safe, contemporary practice. It consists of a series of practical sessions covering orientation and assessment within an intensive care bedside and simulated experiences in providing Physiotherapy respiratory care.
Scenarios will cover aspects of caring for the critically ill that include patient mobilisation, management of post surgical and head injured patients, and responses to adverse events. The course is structured toward providing practical experience and a limit of 8 course participants maximises this. A comprehensive reference manual will be supplied to participants. |
