This course is designed to enhance communication, assessment and clinical skills for physiotherapists working with medical and surgical patients.
It consists of a series of practical sessions covering subjective and objective assessment methods, airway suctioning, cardiorespiratory treatment methods, mobilisation and manual handling. The course is structured toward maximising practical experience, through the combination of case studies, patient simulations in ward environments and a limit of 12 course participants.
Scenarios will cover management of COPD and surgical patients, patient mobilisation, suction, and responses to adverse events. A comprehensive reference manual will be supplied to participants. |
