This course is designed to enhance communication, assessment and clinical physiotherapy skills in medical and surgical ward settings.
It consists of a series of lectures and practical sessions covering subjective and objective assessment methods, airway suctioning, cardiorespiratory treatment methods and mobilisation. This course is structured toward maximising practical experience, through the combination of case studies, patient simulations in ward environments and a limit of 12 course participants.
Scenarios are designed to enhance the understanding and utilisation of assessment and treatment procedures during the management of respiratory, COPD and surgical patients, patient mobilisation and airway suctioning. A comprehensive reference manual and CD with supplemental learning material will be supplied to all participants. |
